Chapter 938 Is blessed to be situated in Ravalli County in the beautiful Bitterroot Valley with a population having the highest per capita number of veterans of the 56 counties in Montana.

     Established over twenty years ago, the Chapter has an impressive history of noteworthy accomplishments.

     As one driving south on Highway 93 enters Hamilton travel will be across the Veterans Bridge so named through the efforts of the Chapter.

     Continuing to drive south the road passes the turn-off to the Veterans Monument, a totally Chapter-built collection paneled walls, pavers, and statues rendering honor to thousands of veterans, living and dead, who have served the Nation.

     Further down the road, in downtown Hamilton, one will find the only tax supported Veterans Service Office in the State brought into existence through the efforts of the Chapter.  

     In addition to maintaining and expanding the Monument, the Chapter is actively engaged in accomplishing it major mission of supporting veterans in need.  First, in terms of sheer number of hours dedicated, is the Vet-to-Vet breakfast held every Friday morning in the back room of BJ’s Family Restaurant.

     In addition to the camaraderie, the ten to twenty veterans present serve as a resource for anyone seeking help with any topic related to the military.

     The other major activity is fundraising to have the financial resources necessary to provide the help we give to veterans.  Using our outreach booth set-up at crowd-drawing county activities, we provide veteran-related assistance while selling raffle tickets and military-related baseball caps and shirts.

     Our policy of expending our funds in service to Ravalli County veterans is strictly enforced
